I would like to start off by saying I haven’t even had this thing for more than a month and it died on me! The charging cord works fine but the actual device itself isn’t picking up the charge. I made the mistake of not getting the warranty so I don’t know how I’m going to this replaced or refunded at least. I really wanted this thing to work, I did so much research but if it doesn’t do anything “fancy” it might as well be a $180 handheld silicone scrubber.

Not worth the money. doesn’t do much, I bought it to replace my Mia doesn’t even come close. It heats up and massages but not to the point you can feel it.

This has been a great addition to my skincare routine! I was looking for something to help with exfoliating or just washing my face better besides just using my hands. When I went in after regularly using it my esthetician was so shocked! I included the side by side photos to see the difference in my skin a year before compared to now. It’s helped me take care of myself ☺️✨🤍

As a cleansing device, this thing is a dream. It’s soft and gentle on your skin and your face always feels thoroughly cleansed after using. You’ll never want to wash your face with just your hands ever again after using this. I use this daily, and I’ve noticed my face is significantly smoother and I have drastically fewer clogged pores. This thing really does a great job cleaning out your pores.
As a cleansing device in and of itself, this is 5 stars. But I have to dock this several starts because of the obsidian “Active Warmth” side. I kind of wish the heating side got a little hotter. The thing heats up quickly, but at the “hottest”, it’s about a steady lukewarm temperature. I don’t need this thing to be scalding hot, but it would have been nice if they had multiple temperature settings. Regardless, the heat does feel pretty nice on the skin. My other issue with this is that this feature is advertised to be great to use with face serums for deeper absorption. I do believe that this does do that BUT you have to be careful which serums you use. Certain ingredients, like Vitamin C, are extremely sensitive to light and heat so although using a Vitamin C serum with Active Warmth might feel good, I worry that the heat will actually cause the product to be less effective on a chemical level. This is just my theory though and if someone has any scientific knowledge about the exact temperature Vitamin C degrades as well as how hot the PMD Pro Clean gets then I’d be more than happy to be corrected on this.
My last issue with the Active Warmth side is specifically with the obsidian material. When using with serums, I’ve found that the obsidian works best with either really watery or really oily products. Those types of products glide very smoothly across the face. Serums that have a more sticky consistency won’t work well and will pretty much make it impossible to easily glide the device across your face. PMD has other clean pro devices that use other materials like rose quartz or gold plating so I’m not sure if those materials will make a difference with this issue, but this has at least been my experience with the obsidian.
Also, I know obsidian is just black rock, and I’m sure this device uses real obsidian, but when you look at it, it literally just looks and feels like black plastic. This wouldn’t be a huge deal but since this device is almost $200, I would have liked the obsidian to look and feel more premium. The rose quartz version for example looks really nice, glossy, and high end so I was bummed that the obsidian version looks so boring.
Here’s my overall advice. If you’re JUST looking for a good cleansing device and don’t care about the Active Warmth technology, you’re better off just googling “silicon facial cleanser” and you’ll be able to find dozens of great alternatives for like $20-$50. If you still want the Active Warmth feature, just know that it won’t work with every serum.

I was looking to replace my Clarisonic since they went out of business and one of my favorite things about this item is the fact that the brush head does not have to be replaced- ever! The silicon bristles feel so good on my skin and leave it feeling so smooth! It’s also so sleek and has great design. Highly recommend!
