I was looking forward to using this on an upcoming flight, only to find the following on the Qantas website:
Prohibited inflight travel accessories
To ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, it is prohibited to use inflight travel accessories and devices which:
– attach to aircraft seats;
– are inserted between seats; or
– otherwise block access to seat rows or aisles.
When in use, these devices have the potential to impede access to seats and aisles, damage aircraft seats and fixtures, and block access to emergency equipment.
Examples of prohibited inflight accessories include, but are not limited to, inflatable cubes, ‘bed boxes’, and ‘leg hammocks’. This list is not exhaustive, and the decision to permit use of any other device rests with the cabin crew.
If your flight is operated by another airline, contact them directly to confirm their policy in relation to inflight travel accessories.

The pads were not inflated when I first opened the package, but give it a couple of hours, the foam is fully inflated with air, and provides a soft yet firm support. Will buy a second one for family.

The pictures in this are fake. The “hammock” is way thinner than described and is so slippery it does not support your feet at all. Your feet slide together on top of each other and the hammock does not stay flat as seen in the pictures. Do not buy

This does not hang as shown in the picture. When you place your feet or legs on it, it just bunches them up.
Your feet are hanging right behind the seat in front of you. You cannot stretch out your legs.

I took this to the trip to Mazatlan Mexico. It’s only a 2 1/2 hours flight, but I want to try it. It work great, very comfortable, but it’s not that sturdy. For the price, I can’t complaint.

I have now had this footrest under my desk for two weeks and let me tell you, I don’t know why I waited so long.
I’m short. I have a tall desk, a tall desk chair, and feet that have been dangling out of that (and most) desk chair for centuries now.
I also have some pretty garbage knees. I’m not supposed to stay in any one position for too long, and ideally I’m supposed to keep things elevated.
I’ve tried a lot of things and none of them worked. I gave up. I stumbled across this item, thought ‘how bad could it be’ and ordered it.
It’s heaven.
I can fidget if I need to, I can reposition with ease, and the best part of all, I can elevate my knees at my desk while I ice them. With good support for my feet and ankles to boot.
It’s made things so much more pleasant. My remote work (and video games) requires a lot of hours at a desk doing multimedia editing. I used to have to take lengthy breaks to lay down and take care of my joint pain, but now I don’t have to.
I can’t speak to travel since there’s a global pandemic on but it’s compact with a sturdy buckle and a generous length of strap that can be reduced to half it’s length without any extra fussing.
I found mine a little long for my purposes but I made it work by tying parts of it to a support beam. Easy peasy.
Anyway. 10/10, pry it from my cold dead hands.

I was hesitant to buy this because I am 5′ 10′ but it worked well for me on a recent round trip from NY to Greece. The padding was comfortable and the strap length was easily adjusted.

I was very happy with this on a flight from NY to Arizona. I imagine it would be helpful on longer flights as well. I am very short, and being able to support my back, legs, and general comfort on a flight is difficult. The strap did sometimes seem to slip over time if I pressed down too much on the foot rest, but not enough to cause me issue. Rolls up really nicely, and stowed away in a side pocket of my under the seat carry on. If you’re someone that knows your comfort on a flight is crucial, I’d recommend trying this product out. Comfort was just fine.
